From Stray to Loved: Fostering and Adoption Efforts by Adem Kartal

At 68 years old, former industrialist Adem Kartal is demonstrating a heartwarming act of humanity. Having erected a dog shelter near Hasanağa Organized Industrial Zone, he tirelessly feeds and nurtures stray dogs, turning leftovers from the factories into nourishing meals for these furry friends. Each day, he undertakes a 20-25 km journey from home to ensure these stray souls are fed and loved.

Despite the financial strain, Kartal willingly covers the considerable rent for the shelter from his personal budget, showing the depth of his commitment and love for these dogs. His dedication led to him being a foster dad for over 100 dogs last year, and currently, he is looking after around 35 dogs.

But his mission does not end there. Kartal makes efforts to find loving homes for these dogs, enabling them to embark on new lives filled with care and affection. He doesn't just protect these dogs; he gives them a second chance at life through adoption.
